Caterpillar Announces Huge Job Cut

US construction equipment giant Caterpillar announced it was to cut about 20,000 jobs, after its profits slumped by 32 percent. This job cut equates to about 18 percent of the company’s entire workforce, and will also be accompanied by freezes in overtime and salaries. Caterpillar is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines. Home Depot Cutting Jobs

Home Depot, the nation’s largest home improvement chain has announced that it is going to make some major moves. Firstly, they are going to eliminate 7000 positions. Sprint Nextel Announces Large Job Cut

Sprint Nextel, the 3rd largest wireless service provider has announced it is going to cut roughly 8000 jobs. This huge cut will represent approximately 15% of Sprint Nextel’s entire workforce.
