ABX Air Incorporated to Layoff 1900 Employees
Tuesday, December 30th, 2008ABX Air Inc, an air cargo services provider operating out of Wilmington, Ohio, and 15 hubs throughout the United States, announced that it will ultimately cut 1900 jobs thruout the United States, starting with 838 jobs being cut at it’s main hub in Wilmington.
The cuts followed an announcement from DHL EXPRESS, ABX’s primary customer, that it will halt a “substantial portion” of its domestic point-to-point shipping operations, which will significantly decrease DHL’s dependancy on ABX.
